The four-star Barrignac shows flavours that are reminiscent of vanilla and marzipan, developed through the liaison of the Gewuerztraminer grape variety with the small wooden barrel in which this Barrignac matures for four years. Within this time span, the “angels” take their share (evaporation), thereby reducing the barrel’s content each year by approximately four to five percent.

 

In this way, this exquisite drink acquires its characteristic red-golden colour, smoothness, complexity and depth of taste.
